What will happen to your next door grocery shop? Part II

Just after penning down my thoughts, the article in Economic Times of yesterday also raises the Questions:

1) Do we have sufficient space to cater to Hypercity within the city limits? (BTW the same people who discuss about these points forget that more than 70% of the so called Hypercity in the western countries are on the outer edge of the residential areas or pre planned years in advanced not like India, where the FSI decides)

2) The Sq Ft Plan announced by everyone does not seem to materialize & most of them scale it down, though this is not announced.

3) The 15 minute rule application, which for a city like Mumbai????? - Try parking your vehicle any day in Infiniti; Inorbit; Hypercity & you realize, why the next door grocery shop will continue to exist.

Add to this Kishore Biyani's thoughts on Pricing, Supply Chain, Logistics during his TV episode with Mr. Khatter today -

"The pricing is basically done on Greed & Fear" Only he could be so candid about summing up everyone's thoughts & accepting that Consumer needs is the only thing that shall drive all requirements.
