The Person


Anaggh Desai is a man of few words. In February 2006 he joined, Damas heading their retail initiative in India. Anaggh is actively shaping the business with his sharp skills and focused goals. His mandate lays special emphasis on creation of professional approach to the branded Jewellery retail revenue model, sustaining and growing the group partnership across Indian sub continent.

Prior to this he was Group President – Marketing & Commercial, Gitanjali Group responsible for Corporate Planning, Marketing & all Commercial activities of the group with emphasis on Processes, Governance, Distribution Channels and New Initiative Management. In addition he also held the portfolio of Chief Executive Officer of D’damas Jewellery the joint venture between Gitanjali group and Damas LLC.

Having achieved success with Traveljini.com Limited - an ICICI Venture Company, as their Chief Executive Officer was instrumental in making it one of the most recognized and successful online brands. His mandate also laid emphasis on conceptualising ‘Revenue Model’ in the dot com world of ‘Cost Model’.

His triumph of 23 years covers a broad spectrum of industries from Market Research, Hospitality, Mail Order, Courier & Logistics to Travel, dotcom & finally hardcore Retail. With his acumen and sharp instincts he has been successful across industries.

He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate degree Marketing Management. Anaggh is married and in his spare time likes reading and traveling.
